How it works
- Open the home on the map and tap "I want to see it."
- Leave your name and an email or phone; confirm by email if we ask.
- Up to 3 verified local agents receive the request.
- The first to accept contacts you and coordinates with the listing agent.
- Verify your ID and follow the showing from your link or the app.
"I want to see it" lets you request a showing of any home on the Multilistado map, even one advertised on another portal. Your request goes to license-verified agents in the same municipality, and the first to accept takes it from there: they arrange the showing with the listing agent, review the paperwork and negotiate for you, at no cost to you. You follow the progress from a link or in the app.
Two paths, depending on the home
- Verified listing (posted on Multilistado by a verified agent): use "Request a showing" on the listing ("Book a showing" in the app) and the request goes straight to that agent.
- Other-portal listing (gray marker on the map): use "I want to see it." Since we don't show the original listing or the advertiser, a verified Multilistado agent makes the contact for you.
How "I want to see it" works
- Fill out a short form. Your name and an email or phone number. You can add when you'd like to see it and a message; both are optional.
- Confirm, if needed. If you request on the website without signing in, we email you a link to confirm. That way no agent gets requests nobody made. From the app, or signed in with an email or phone you've already verified, the request goes out right away.
- Up to 3 verified local agents receive it. We pick license-verified agents whose city is that municipality or who have listings published there. They get it by email and in their portal.
- The first to accept gets your request. Only the agent who takes it sees your contact details. If there are no verified agents in the area, if they all decline, or if nobody accepts within 24 hours, we assign it to a verified Multilistado backup agent so it doesn't go unanswered.
- We tell you who's helping you. You get an email with the agent's name, license number and issuing state, plus a link to their profile.
- The agent arranges the showing. They propose a commission-sharing agreement to the listing agent through Multilistado and agree on a time. Once the showing is scheduled, you get an email with the date and time.
Follow your request
Each request has its own page with the current status:
- Confirm your request from the email.
- Finding a verified agent in the area.
- Agent assigned: you see their name, profile and WhatsApp or phone.
- Coordinating the showing with the listing agent.
- Showing scheduled.
In the Multilistado México app you'll find them all under Account → My visit requests. If you ask about the same home again within 14 days, we show you the request you already have instead of creating a new one.
ID check before the showing
Every showing on Multilistado requires you to verify your identity once: an official ID plus a live selfie, about 2 minutes. When the agent needs it, the link shows up on your request. The listing agent and the owner don't receive a copy of your ID; they only see that you're verified, your first name and last initial, the ID type and the date. Details in verified buyers.
Why do it this way
- You deal with someone licensed. Before we assign you an agent, we check their license or registration in the state registry. If you want to check yourself, look them up in the registry.
- You don't pay for the help. The agent earns their share of the commission through the agreement with the listing agent.
- No chasing listings. You don't have to call five advertisers or figure out who actually has the home.
Tips
- Leave a phone number with WhatsApp; most agents coordinate there.
- If your schedule is tight, put your available times in the message.
- Verify your ID ahead of time so the showing doesn't stall on that step.
- Ask about documents (deed, property tax receipts, liens) before you put down a deposit. The guide how to verify a real estate agent lists red flags.
Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to request a showing?
Nothing. The agent who helps you earns their share through a commission-sharing agreement with the listing agent.
What if no agent accepts?
If nobody accepts within 24 hours, they all decline, or there are no verified agents in the area, we assign it to a verified Multilistado backup agent.
Who sees my contact details?
Only the agent who takes your request. The other agents it was offered to don't see your email or phone.
Why do I have to confirm by email?
So agents don't get fake requests. If you request from the app, or signed in with a verified email or phone, you don't need to.
Do I need to verify my ID?
Yes, every showing requires it. It's a one-time check with an official ID and a live selfie and takes about 2 minutes.
