## How to choose

- **Do you need an MLS or a portal?** An MLS is for cooperating with other agents and sharing commissions; a portal is for buyers to find you. Read [what an MLS is and how it works in Mexico](/guias/que-es-un-mls?lang=en).
- **Who can see and list?** If you work in a state where a license is mandatory, such as [Baja California](/guias/licencia-agente-inmobiliario-baja-california?lang=en) or [BCS](/guias/licencia-agente-inmobiliario-baja-california-sur?lang=en), a licensed-only environment gives you more certainty about who you share commissions with.

- **They are not exclusive.** Many agents combine an MLS with one or two portals. Multilistado generates feeds to publish your listings on portals without re-entering them.
