# IDX widget, API and webhooks: the MLS on your site and CRM

> Show the MLS on Wix, WordPress or any site with one snippet, connect your CRM with the REST API and receive signed webhooks. Free for verified agents.

If you already have a website on Wix, WordPress, Squarespace or another platform, Multilistado's **IDX widget** puts the MLS search inside it: filters, map, listing pages and a contact form, with your logo and colors. Paste a code snippet once, listings update on their own and inquiries come to you. If you code or run a CRM, there's also a **REST API** with your own keys and signed **webhooks**. All of it is free for verified agents.

## IDX widget: the MLS on your current site

**What you set in the portal** (Portal → More → IDX widget), without touching code:

- Which listings to show: **all of Multilistado or only yours**, and whether to include those under contract.
- Default filters, language and view: grid, list or map.
- A bar with your logo and phone, colors and light or dark mode.
- Who receives inquiries (useful for brokerages).
- **Allowed domains**, so your widget only shows on your sites.

**How to embed it:**

- **Script (recommended):** one line of code; the height adjusts to the content automatically.
- **Iframe:** for platforms that sandbox code, such as Wix, Google Sites or GoDaddy.
- **WordPress plugin** "Multilistado IDX": upload it as a .zip, paste your widget ID and use the block or the shortcode.

The docs have exact steps for Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy, Shopify, Webflow, Google Sites, Blogger and plain HTML, plus a code generator. See the [widget guide](/developers/widget).

**Leads:** when a visitor asks for information or a showing through the widget, the lead lands in your portal inbox and your email, tagged with the widget as its source so you know where it came from.

## REST API v1

To connect your own site or CRM:

- **Read the MLS inventory** with search and filters, and fetch each listing.
- **Manage your listings:** create, update, upload images, publish and unpublish.
- **Create leads** from your own forms and read your leads.
- **API keys** that are read-only or read-and-write. You create them under Portal → More → API; each is shown only once and you can revoke it.
- A limit of 600 requests per 10 minutes per key. There's an OpenAPI 3.0 description and an interactive reference.

For security the key goes in the `Authorization` header, never in the URL, and the API is called from your server, not from visitors' browsers. More in the [API docs](/developers/api).

## Webhooks

Multilistado sends a JSON POST to your server when something happens:

- `lead.created` and `lead.updated`: a new lead arrives or you change its stage.
- `listing.published`, `listing.updated` and `listing.unpublished`: changes to your listings.

Each delivery carries an HMAC-SHA256 signature in the `X-PBM-Signature` header so you can confirm it came from Multilistado. The "Test" button sends a sample event and the portal shows the last delivery status. More in the [webhooks guide](/developers/webhooks).

## Data that never leaves

The co-op commission and other commission details are visible only to verified agents inside Multilistado: they're not in the widget, the API or the feeds. Neither is the exact address or location when the agent chose not to show it, nor private owner or buyer data.

## How to start

1. Sign in with your verified account. If you don't have one, [sign up with your license](/portal/register).
2. Create your widget under Portal → More → IDX widget and save the settings.
3. Copy the code (script or iframe) or install the WordPress plugin.
4. Paste it into an HTML block on your site and publish.
5. If you're building an integration, create an API key or a webhook in the portal.

## Tips

- Test on desktop and phone: search, open a listing and send a test inquiry.
- If you use allowed domains on Wix, also add the domains Wix uses to embed code; the guide lists them.
- If you don't have a website, the [Multilistado website](/funciones/pagina-web-para-agentes-inmobiliarios), which already includes the MLS, may suit you better.
- If you show the whole MLS, sign a [commission agreement](/funciones/convenios-de-comision-compartida) before promoting other agents' listings.

## How it works, step by step
1. Create your widget under Portal → More → IDX widget.
2. Choose listings, filters, view, colors and allowed domains.
3. Copy the script or iframe, or install the WordPress plugin.
4. Paste it into an HTML block on your site and publish.
5. For integrations, create an API key or a webhook.
